Fletcher Flynn
Hi, I’m Fletcher, the Founder of Ace Sport Coaching.
Growing up I’ve always had a very strong passion for sport. I’ve played a huge range of them over the years competing at both a high and social level.
Being born and growing up in Ireland I started with Gaelic football and hurling. Once coming over to Australia I was shocked with the increase in options, with my Dad putting me into every single sport imaginable.
Over the last decade I have done almost everything: AFL, basketball, swimming, rugby, hockey, soccer, little athletics, tennis, netball, and volleyball. My main sports consist of AFL, swimming, and basketball. I’ve been in the WAFL colts and futures systems with both Claremont and Perth since I was 14 along with the West Coast Eagles Next Generation Academy. As well as competing in an array of State swim meets and competitive basketball games.
I started ACE in 2023 in hopes to be a pathway in creating inclusion amongst all kids despite their additional needs. From what I had learnt at Uni and seen first-hand when doing various coaching jobs, I found many kids would shy away from joining their classmates in school or a sport team outside. Many of the kids shying away simply because “they weren’t good enough” or “just didn’t know how to play.” Our team at ACE are striving to change this narrative and help kids have fun, feel confident to join in and play a range of different sports with their peers.
