Lina’s Story
My 9-year-old son has been receiving one-on-one coaching from ACE for the last few months, helping with his swimming, basketball and soccer.
He has made significant progress during this time with his gross motor skills and overall general fitness. Recently, we were all pleasantly surprised when he came third in a cross-country running race at his school.
The team at ACE are exceptional young men and women who are dedicated, reliable, and passionate about their work. However, what sets them apart are their exceptional ability to connect with children and create an enjoyable and fun learning environment. Lisa’s Story
My 10-year-old has high functioning Autism, which means that whilst he is very bright and many would say he is like most boys his age, he doesn’t fit into the norms of our society seamlessly.
One area that he has always found tricky was navigating team sports. Children with Autism have delayed gross motor coordination and can often find the game strategies and communication aspects complex in team sports. We had tried many forms of sport over the years, but none seemed to engage him in a way that he felt comfortable to continue past 1 or 2 terms.
Last year we found Fletcher and his team with their one-to-one coaching making a significant impact on my son’s skill development, physical fitness and overall confidence. They are engaging, thoughtfully prepared and ensures my son leaves the session feeling great about his performance.
I highly recommend ACE to any family that wants to build their child’s confidence and develop their sporting skills.
Shannon’s Story
My 8-year-old son has been training with ACE for around six months now, and it has made an incredible difference. Previously he had no confidence around playing any kind of sport as following instructions was hard for him – especially if he was in a large group. He would end up confused, upset and hating every moment.
When we first started working with ACE, Fletcher took the time to get to know my sons enjoys, how he listens and what he needs to stay engaged. Fletcher and his team have spent time working on basic skills with my son, and then helped us choose a sport that suited him. My son now looks forward to his soccer sessions every week.
It’s been amazing watching my son develop confidence and build skills in a sport he enjoys – and he has even asked to join a proper soccer team next term.
